The subsidised instruction by Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership through a panel of Staffordshire County Council approved instructors. Instruction is provided on a 2:1 basis for a full day (09:30 to 16:00) at a number of venues throughout Staffordshire on weekends from April to October; week days can be arranged.

BikeSense is a rider development scheme for full licence holders designed to improve the motorcyclist’s riding skills through assessment and appropriate remedial and developmental instruction. The scheme provides specific instruction to cover areas such as hazard perception, reading the road, road handling, positioning, overtaking and defensive riding. Instruction will have a bias towards riding on rural ‘A’ roads, this being where the majority of collisions in which motorcyclists are killed or seriously injured.

Attending a BikeSense day will qualify you for £50 cash back when you take insurance with Devitt or Bikesure (new business only) and a £50 subsidy on further development with the IAM or the Enhanced Rider Scheme (subject to availability, with limited places available.
